Content Marketing

WHAT IS CONTENT MARKETING?

Content Marketing is basically a strategy to put content and letting the content do the marketing. Content marketing is telling your business or your brand’s story in such a way that it entertains, educates and engages people. Every kind of business can do content marketing. It involves creation of contents and sharing it online in different platforms to gain traffic.

Content can be anything from blog posts, memes, social media news feed to videos, images, infographics, and ebooks.

Content is the reason search began in the first place.
                                                                                                                       –Lee Odden

In traditional marketing, we put all kinds of manual effort and money in order to advertise and generate business but in content marketing we create and put all kind of free contents for marketing purpose which eventually generates business. In general, traditional marketing is about telling the world and Content Marketing is all about showing the world.

Content marketing is a very effective tool as it can turn general visitors to paying customers.

Process of content marketing

Connected to the world of content marketing, a standard process for content marketing can provide two benefits. First, the process can help marketers create higher quality substance by indicating best practices that prompt great content. Second, the process can make the content marketing operation more adaptable by specifying repeatable points of use and efficiencies. More or less, a content marketing process can help solve the challenges that marketers without any planning faces.

Below are the processes that i would recommend to follow to generate a better content.

  • Keyword research

One of the most important step for a fruitful content marketing is Keyword Research. Keyword research is finding out the top searched keywords related to your content. These keywords will straightaway help in making your content reach the people.

  • Content Creation

This process involves taking ideas and convert it into content. It can include writing an article which you can post in your website or blog. If you want to use images or video, then designing the image or video is also a part of content creation.

  • Content Layout

Deciding the effective layout is also an important part as it makes the content attractive and engages visitors.

  • Publish

Simply creating a content will not generate anything unless you publish it.Publishing is posting contents in websites, blogs or social media so that it can reach people.

  • Promote

Internet is a crowded place. Your content may be amazing but people may not be able to discover it, so Promotion is important. Content Promotion can be done through Social Media Posts, Emails, Ads or Pay to promote

Content Optimization

Content Optimization is the process of improving contents in a webpage so that it gets easily discoverable by the users. Optimization should be done as per Search Engine Optimization(SEO) techniques. A well written and optimized content will help the website to rise on top of the Search engine Result page(SERP).

Here, I will be discussing an effective method which I use to SEO the content of the web pages.

Content should be Unique and User Friendly

The content that you write should be original, clear and easily understandable by the readers. Do not copy the content from any other websites or blogs, as search engine's crawler rate original content high and can penalize website for copying and posting contents.

Content Should be more than 600 Words

Google panda algorithm update punishes websites with thin content. The content that you write should be able to answer queries of the visitors. Websites with thin content are considered as low quality and do not offer any value to search engines.

Break your Paragraph after every 4 and half or 5 and half lines

Long paragraphs usually bore the readers. Keep short paragraphs as it will ease the users to read the content. Short paragraphs will also help readers to easily discover the focused keywords.

Write your title 3 times in first 300 words

Your title should contain the most important keyword. Mention your long tail keyword three times in the first 300 words of your content. This will help the crawler to know which keyword you are focusing on. Do not try to stuff the keyword in every sentence. You may use the keywords included in meta title and meta description in the rest of the text.

Bold, Italic and Underline title in the content

Use of Bold, Italic and underline will allow the readers to read easily and focus on the keywords. This  also improves their user experience and they will easily get engaged with your content.

Use keywords to give headings

Including Keywords in heading will give a message about the subject of the content. This also helps the crawler in determining the keywords. Always ensure that the content is lined up with the title and the heading of the page. If the content under the title and heading does not match then the visitors may leave quickly, which increases the bounce rate and tells the Search Engines that the page is of low quality.

Use Header tags

Header tags are one of the main part of On Page SEO Techniques. Header tags are used to display the Headings In the posts. Header tags are of 6 types <h1>, <h2>,<h3>,<h4>,<h5>, and <h6>. <h1> tag is the largest of all, while <h6> tag is the smallest. Using target keywords in header tags will increase Search Engine Visibility for your target keyword.

<h1> Your text here </h1>

  • Write the title in H1 tag

The title of your post should be in <H1> Header tag. It tells the visitors and the Search Engine what the content is all about. Ensure you use only one <H1> tag so as not to confuse the bot with what the information is all about. Using of more than one <H1> tag is not recommended.

  • Use H2 and H3 tags for Headings and Subheadings

Using H2 and H3 tags for displaying headings and subheadings is recommended as per SEO point of view.

Note: H4,H5 and H6 tags are rarely used due to their small font size. I would recommend not to use H4, H5 and H6 Tags.

Keyword density should be between 2% to 3%

Keyword density has a direct impact on the visibility of your website on the SERP. Keyword density is the number of times a keyword appears in the content of the webpage. Even though there is no ideal percentage of keyword density that should be maintained, I would recommend keeping the density in between 2% - 3%. Over use of Keywords leads to Keyword stuffing.

Check for content duplicacy

Always check that the content that you have written for your post is found nowhere else on the internet. Some of the sentences that you have written may already appear on the internet. If this happens, then it may cause content duplicacy which leads to traffic losses and it also impacts search Engine rankings. You can check for Duplicate contents by using tools from copyspace.com or duplichecker.com

This process can be used as a starting point to meet your content marketing objectives. Just remember that no matter what process you adopt, you are trying to improve the quality of your content and produce more results out of it.

Do you have a different content marketing strategy? What are your recommendations about the process of content marketing optimization? Do let us know in the comments below.

What Actually is Causing the error?

On checking the HTML CODE of the post I found,

The problem is due to the MS Word Format Specification. While copying the text from MS Word, its format also gets Copied which causes error while displaying text in the Blogger. Instead of getting plain text copied, the text gets copied in the Word XML Format. This error may appear if you are using Microsoft Word 2007 or above.

  6. Click on Update and View your Page. The error will disappear and you will get exactly what you want.

Method 2:

  1. Go to Edit Option Under the post where you got the error.

            <w:View>Normal</w:View>
            <w:Zoom>0</:Zoom>

    Delete till
            </style>

Traditional Markting vs Digital Marketing

Difference between Traditional and Digital Marketing

Many small business struggle with selecting which type of advertisement to do, in light of the fact that their budget will just be sufficient for one or other, and not for both. The choice that must be made are difficult: Which plan for Marketing will give the most value for money? How will i know whether my advertisement is Working?

Traditional Marketing :

Traditional marketing is the process where promotion of business is done manually unlike Online Digital Marketing. This is the most common and the oldest form of advertisement which started ever since marketing came into existence.

Newspaper Ad- Traditional Marketing
For example, You may have seen those huge Billboards along roads or highways displaying Cars, Bikes, Construction Company Ads etc. or those Newspaper ads displaying the newly released mobile or car models. Also while walking through the market or some crowded area, you may have encounter the person offering free pamphlets.

These are few of the traditional methods of business promotion. Here, people who see or read the billboards or the newspaper, or who reads the pamphlet, gets to know about the business or the product that they are promoting.

But we have no idea if anyone have actually read and is interested in business. Some people even after taking the pamphlet do not read it and they either throw it away or use it for some other purpose.

Traditional form of advertisements are very costly. Company has to invest money in terms of millions for creating and displaying Ads and Billboards. For Instance, Times of India charges INR6500 approx. per sq cm/day for Front Page Advertisement.

Another disadvantage is that even after spending huge amount of money the promoters are not aware whether the consumers are getting aware of their business/products or not.

Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing on the other hand is the process where promotion of business is done Online via electronic medium. Digital Marketing or Internet Marketing is the modern form of advertisement.

Facebook Ads - Digital Marketing
One of the main benefit of Digital Marketing is that, it allows us to target globally i.e. it can make your product or business reach to every part of the world.

Digital Marketing over Traditional Marketing

It is presently certain that Digital Marketing is done on the basis that we getting more buyer online in the advanced world, yet we additionally need to see how really Digital Marketing benefits us.

1 Cost

Cost is one of the biggest factor for a company when it comes to business marketing. While Newspaper, TV and other traditional media promotions costs a lot, publicizing through the web is very moderate.

You may need to pay for ads in newspaper or magazines every day you run an ad, but this does not happen with digital marketing. You can update or promote your business on your website without any additional cost, if you have a person who can update.

2 Better Audience Target

With modern technologies, it is possible to collect relevant information about customers who visits the website and target them accordingly. In traditional marketing method it was difficult to target the audience as we do not get any information about the customer who reads or who gets interested with our business marketing.

3 Bigger Marketing Exposure

In traditional method, it is possible only to target a specific area or location at a time providing small exposure. However with Digital Marketing, the exposure can be expanded as marketing over the internet reaches to people all over the world whoever is using the internet.
